Robert Lee Hamilton

EDINBURGH

Robert Lee Hamilton, 59, Edinburgh, died Thursday at Johnson County Memorial Hospital, Franklin, where he had been a patient three weeks. He had been in failing health four months.

He was a retired truck driver for the Morgan County Highway Department.

He was born July 4, 1925, in Franklin to Wayne and Cecile May (Wirey) Hamilton. His father lives in Nineveh.

Also surviving are his wife, Kathryn (Dyke) Hamilton; a son and two daughters, Gary Hamilton, Bargersville, Carolyn Brown, Indianapolis, and Doris Hamilton; a stepson, John Dyke, Edinburgh; a sister, Katherine Price, Franklin, and two grandchildren.

A service will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, Edinburgh, where friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh. The Rev. Kenneth Burns will officiate.

Edinburgh — Robert Lee Hamilton, 59, of Edinburgh, died at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at Johnson County Memorial Hospital at Franklin.

A retired truck driver for the Morgan County Highway Department, he had been a resident at the Franklin Nursing Home the last four months.

Funeral services will be conducted by the Rev. Kenneth Burns at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Calling hours will be from 4 to 6 p.m. today. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.

Hamilton was born July 4, 1925, in Franklin, the son of Wayne Hamilton of Nineveh and the late Cecile May Wirey Hamilton. He married Kathryn Price, who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Gary Hamilton of Bargersville; two daughters, Carolyn Brown of Indianapolis and Doris Hamilton, for whom no address was available; one stepson, John Dyke, for whom no address is available; one sister, Katherine Price of Franklin, and two grandchildren.
