Welba "Webb" Hadley
  Welba "Webb" Hadley, 79, of
Franklin, died Wednesday, May 2,
2001, at Johnson Memorial Hospital
in Franklin.
  Born Nov. 24, 1921, in Russell
Springs, Ky., he was the son of
Robert and Anna (Willan) Hadley. He
married Sue Jenkins and she
survives.
  Other survivors include one son,
Tim Hadley of Edinburgh; two
daughters, Judy Franklin of Russell
Springs and Tonya Hadley of
Franklin; four stepsons, Kevin
Crawford and Gerald Crawford, both
of Indianapolis, David Craw-ford of
Greenwood and Terry Crawford, of
Nashville; one sister, Maxine
Santee of Columbus, Ohio; 10
grandchildren; six great-grand-
children; and one great-great-
granddaughter.
  He was preceded in death by three
brothers, Paul Hadley, Pete Hadley
and Elvin Hadley, and two sisters,
Betty Rooks and Opal Lee.
  Mr. Hadley was a U.S. Army veteran
of World War II, a car salesman for
Jarvis Alexander and Owen Reed
Chevrolet dealership in Franklin
from 1955 to 1977 and operator of
Webb Hadley Motor Sales in Franklin
from 1977 until retiring in 1993.
  He was a member of Edinburgh United
Methodist Church and Edinburgh
American Legion Post 233.
  Funeral services will be at 1 p.m.
Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral
Home, 302 E. Main Cross St. in
Edinburgh with the Rev. Marion
Glover officiating.
  Burial will be in Rest Haven
Cemetery in Edinburgh with military
rites conducted by Edinburgh
American Legion Post No. 233.
  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m.
Friday and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Saturday at the funeral home.

Welba "Webb" Hadley
  Welba "Webb" Hadley, 79, died
Wednesday, May 2, 2001, at Johnson

was a resident of Franklin.
  He was born Nov. 24, 1921, in
Russell Springs, Ky.  His parents
were Robert and Anna (Willan)
Hadley.  He married Sue (Jenkins)
Hadley.  She survives.  Other
survivors include a son, Tim Hadley
of Edinburgh; two daughters, Judy
Franklin of Russell Springs, Ky.,
and Tonya Hadley of Franklin; four

  From 1977 to 1993, he was
owner/operator of Webb Hadley Motor
Sales in Franklin, retiring in
1993.  He was previously employed
from 1955 to 1977 by Jarvis
Alexander and Owen Reed Chevrolet
in Franklin.
  He was a member of Edinburgh United
Methodist Church and Edinburgh
American Legion Post 233.
  He was a U.S. Army veteran of World
War II.
  The Rev. Marion Glover will conduct
a service at 1 p.m. Saturday at
Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in
Edinburgh.  Friends may call from 4
to 8 p.m. today and from 11 a.m.
until time of service Saturday at
the funeral home.  Edinburgh
American Legion Post 233 will
conduct military graveside rites at
Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

  WELBA "WEBB" HADLEY, 79, Franklin,
died May 2.  He owned and operated
Webb Hadley Motor Sales, Franklin,
for 16 years, retiring in 1993.  He
had been a car salesman 22 years
for Jarvis Alexander and Owen Reed,
Franklin.  Mr. Hadley was an Army
veteran of World War II and a
member of Edinburgh United
Methodist Church and American
Legion Post 233.  Services: 1 p.m.
May 5 in Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home,
Edinburgh, with calling from 4 to 8
p.m. May 4 and from 11 a.m. May 5.
