      EDINBURGH  — Emma Lou Hadley, 74, of Edinburgh, 
died at 5 p.m Friday at Faith Nursing Home.  
      She had operated the Hadley Grocery Store in Edin-
burgh for several years, retiring in 1968, and was a member 
of the Separate Baptist Church.
      Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Separate 
Baptist Church in Edinburgh.  Calling hours will be 2 to 9 
p.m. Sunday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home.  Burial will be 
at Rest Haven Cemetery.
      Mrs. Hadley was born Oct. 17, 1910, in Casey Co., Ky., 
to Oscar and Bessie Allen Burton.  She was married to Scott 
Hadley in 1942 and he died in 1967.
      Survivors include two daughters, Wanda Mace of Frank-
lin and Helen Campbell of Edinburgh; four brothers, Owen 
Burton of Magnolia, Ky., James Burton of Columbus, Robert 
and Leonard Burton of Edinburgh; four sisters, Alta Wheeler 
of Louisville, Linnie McCorkle of Southport, Dollie Streeval 
and Christine Orner of Edinburgh; five grandchildren and 
eight great-grandchildren.
