PROVIDENCE.

Dick Gross’ two year old [sic] child died last week with cholera infantum, and was buried at Morgantown.

Notes: The 1900 US Federal Census for Union Township, Johnson County, Indiana records thirty-year-old, Indiana-born farmer Richard M. Gross, his thirty-two-year-old, Indiana-born wife Winona Gross and their two Indiana born daughters, four-year-old Hazle [sic] and four-month-old Nancy C. Gross.

Indiana, Death Certificates, 1899–2011, Union Township, Johnson County, Certificate and Record of Death, Health Officer’s Record Number 17, page 104 records that Nancy Catherine Gross died at about 9 o’clock p. m. on 21 Aug 1900 in Union Township from cholera infantum of three days’ duration, aged zero years, seven months and sixteen days. She was female, white and single, born in Indiana to R. M. Gross and Wynona Jones, both born in Indiana. R. M. Gross was the informant. Nancy was buried in Morgantown on 23 Aug 1900, Covert & Covert, undertaker.
