Robert Goodlive Jr.
  Robert Goodlive Jr., 84, died
Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at
Franklin United Methodist Community
where he was a resident.
  He was born Sept. 2, 1918, in Perry
County, Ohio. His parents were
Robert Goodlive Sr. and Blanche
(Bowman) Goodlive. He married Helen
B. Sneed on Sept. 25, 1945, in
Indianapolis. She preceded him in
death July 8, 2002. Survivors
include a daughter, Lois E. Coy 
of Trafalgar; two sons, Robert
Goodlive III of Lancaster, Ohio,
and William R. Goodlive of
Columbus; a sister, Clara Margaret
Midlam of Lancaster, Ohio; six
grandchildren; and three
great-grandchildren. He was
preceded in death by a sister,
Violet Pugh; and a brother, John
Goodlive.
  He graduated from New Straitsville
High School and Ohio State
University.
  He served with the U.S. Army during
World War II and the Korean War.
  He was employed by Nineveh and
Indian Creek high schools for 30
years as an industrial arts
teacher.
  He was a member of First Baptist
Church in Franklin and Franklin
American Legion Post 205.
  The Rev. John S. Eley will conduct
a service at 10:30 a.m. Monday at
Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home, 197
E. Jefferson St. in Franklin.
Friends may call from 2 to 6 p.m.
Sunday at the funeral home.
Military graveside services will be
conducted by Franklin American
Legion Post 205 at Greenlawn
Cemetery in Franklin.
  Memorial contributions may be 
made to Franklin United Methodist
Community, 1070 W. Jefferson St.,
Franklin, IN 46131.
