Death of John Glassburn

John Glassburn, a well known White River farmer, died at his home early this morning after a stroke of paralysis, which followed a siege of influenza-pneumonia. Mr. Glassburn had been critically ill since the middle of October.

Mr. Glassburn was born in 1863 and was 57 years old. He was the son of David and Margaret Glassburn.

Besides his wife, he leaves six [sic] children, Mrs. Bertha Hammond, Mrs. Hazel Joliffe, Oscar, Roy, and John. Two brothers, Joe and George, one sister, Mrs. Ida Doty, and three half-sisters, Mrs. Homer Weddle, Mrs. Oma Robinson and Mrs. Lena Sutton also survive.

Mr. Glassburn was a most active man in his community and was a member of the United Brethren church at Bargersville.

The funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at ten o’clock at the Salem church. Burial in the Salem cemetery.
