JOHN GARRISON, EDINBURG, DIES
Long Illness Is Fatal To Bartholomew County Native
      John Garrison, 80, died at 2:45 o’clock Sunday afternoon at his home, 515
South Walnut street, Edinburg.  He had been ill several months.
      He is a native of Bartholomew county, born Sept. 30, 1874, the son of
Austin and Frances Tannehill Garrison.  Jan. 1, 1903, he married Amenda
Jane Coy.  He was a member of the Edinburg Christian church and was a
retired carpenter.
      Surviving are the widow; a daughter, Mrs. Marle Adkins of Columbus; a
brother, Dillard Garrison of Kansas; two sisters, Miss Isola Garrison of
Trafalgar and Mrs. Rachel Thompson, both of Trafalgar; two grandchildren,
Mrs. James Bradley of Bloomington and Robert Garrison of Franklin; two
great-granddaughters, Pamela and Barbara.  A son Emery Garrison, preceded
him in death.  
      Funeral services will be conducted at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon at Mutz
funeral home at Edinburg and burial will be made at Rest Haven cemetery.
Casket is open at the funeral home.
      Rites will be conducted by the Rev. James Myers of East Columbus Church of
Christ.
