EDWARD RAY FRYE SR.
ROUTE 1 NINEVEH
      MORGANTOWN -- Edward Ray Frye Sr., 61, of Route 1 Nineveh, died Wednesday
afternoon at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Franklin.     
      He had worked for Superior Chevrolet in Indianapolis in the 1940s and from
1953 to 1982 worked for Coca-Cola Bottling Co. in Indianapolis, where he
was a foreman and checker.  Frye served in the U.S. Army in Korea and
attended Neighborhood Church of God.
      Funeral will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Meredith-Clark Funeral
Home in Morgantown, with the Rev. Sam Harrington officiating.  Calling
will be from 4 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.  Burial will be at
Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Greenwood.
      Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or American Diabetes
Association.
      Born June 18, 1929, in Brown County, Frye was the son of Mamie Anderson
Frye of Indianapolis and the late John Frye.  He married Hazel L. Bruder
on Sept. 5, 1951, at Franklin.  She survives.
      Surviving are a son, Ronald Lee Frye of Nineveh; daughters, Kathryn Sue
Watkins, Dedra Kay Burkhart and Diana Lynn Frye, all of Nineveh; a sister,
Mary Taynor of Indianapolis; brothers, Lester L. and Johnny D. Frye, both
of Indianapolis; and five grandchildren. 
      He was preceded in death by a son, Edward Frye Jr. and a sister, Doris
Giger.
