OBITUARY.

Mrs. Nancy A. Frazier, wife of Greenup Frazier, was born in Henry county, Ky., March 3, 1832, and died March 9, 1899 aged 67 years and 6 days. She was the daughter of John McGuire, an old pioneer of Kentucky and was married to Greenup Frazier, Nov. 7, 1851, moved to Indiana in 1856 and has ever since been a citizen of Hensley township. To their union was added: Mrs. Sarah E. Vandivier, John F., who died when a little boy, Mrs. Belle Bowman, Mrs. Ellen Badgley, George B, who died at the age of 4 years, Joseph H., who died at one year of age, Miss Ettie, Mrs. Cordia Vandivier and Otis.

The burial was at First Mt. Pleasant, March 10, 1899. Burial rites by Rev. George Ragsdale. Mrs. Frazier lived an honored and useful life. During the early years of our township’s growth, she was an active laborer both in the family circle and neighborly kindness. At the loom, the spinning wheels, the warping bars, the flax break, the clearing off of the brush, and watching at the cradle’s side the charges given her—through those many years did she labor diligently and constantly to support the dependents and to assist those in trouble and need. Living a worthy and useful life, she was respected and loved by all. Her work is ended; her mission has been completed and she has left dear loving ones to receive the promised reward beyond. The laborer is worthy of the reward. Her last days were of great trials and suffering, but during all these days of affliction her interest in the future of the family was talked of by her until the last hours.

The companion and six children are left to follow the dear companion and mother to the better world. The family has lost the main link of the family chain; the neighbors a most worthy and useful citizen. She was followed to the last resting place by relatives and a large procession of neighbors and friends.
