Evert Forsythe
Dies At Hospital

Evert[sic] Forsythe, Franklin furn­iture maker, died at 4:10 o’clock Monday morning in the Johnson County Memorial Hospital following an illness of two weeks.

Funeral services have been planned for Wednesday afternoon at 2 o’clock and will be in the Vandivier Funeral Home, 941 North Main Street. Burial will be made in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home any time after noon Tuesday and until time for the services, which they are invited to attend.

Native of Kansas

Mr. Forsythe was the son of the late William and Mary Elizabeth Smyser Forsythe and was born at Howard, Kans., on July 9, 1891. He was educated in the Howard schools.

In 1916, he moved to Franklin and on April 14, 1917, he and Ethel Price were married in Franklin.

His entire life, Mr. Forsythe had been a wood worker and specialized in children’s furniture.

He was a member of the Chris­tian church in Howard.

Those who survive are the widow, a daughter, Mrs. Pershing Quick, of Franklin; five grandchild­ren; a brother, Dan Forsythe, of Franklin; and a sister, Mrs. Dan Platz, of Wichita, Kas.
