A message received here from Indianapolis, announced the death of Harry Fitzjarrel [sic], a former Edinburg resident. The remains were brought to this city Tuesday evening for burial.

The 1880 US Federal Census for Edinburg, Johnson County, Indiana records thirty-year-old, Indiana-born divorcée Ella Fitzgerald, her Indiana-born children, nine-year-old Harry and seven-year-old Ada, her thirty-year-old, Indiana-born laborer brother, John W. Layton, and her sixty-nine-year-old, Delaware-born mother, Ann W. Layton.
