DATE OF BIRTH: 21 Jun 1903 Bloomfield, Greene Co., IN DATE OF DEATH: 28 Feb 2002 Franklin, Johnson Co., IN Franklin Daily Journal 2 Mar 2002 FRANKLIN Julia Ashton Faucett Julia Ashton Faucett, 98, died Thursday, Feb. 28, 2002, at Johnson Memorial Hospital. She was a resident of Franklin and a former resident of Indianapolis. She was born June 21, 1903, in Bloomfield. Her parents were Joseph and Gertrude (Leavitt) Faucett. Survivors include her cousins, Betsy Ashcroft of Morgantown, Ellen Emminger of Oklahoma City, Okla., Hilda Nickles of Greenwood, S.C.; and James Letsinger of Bloomfield. She was a 1921 graduate of Morgantown High School, a 1925 graduate of Franklin College and a graduate of Indiana University and Herron School of Art. She was employed as an art teacher for 28 years by Warren Central High School, retiring in 1969. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Franklin. She was a member of Herron Alumni Association in Indianapolis, Pi Beta Phi sorority, Indiana University Women's Club, Art Association of Indianapolis, American Association of University Women, Sigma Delta Pi and Puner Society. The Revs. James Ray and John Eley will conduct a service at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Wright Memorial Chapel at the Franklin United Methodist Community. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service Monday. Graveside rites will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Grandview Cemetery in Bloomfield.
