FRANKLIN Eugene David Edwards Eugene David Edwards, 76, died Saturday, June 1, 2002, at Johnson Memorial Hospital. He was a resident of Franklin and a former resident of New Palestine. He was born March 8, 1926, in Danville. His parents were David Joe Edwards and Ada Mae Brooks. Survivors include a daughter, Diane Marie Auberry of Franklin; two sisters, Lilly Blankenship of Brownsburg and Gladys Jane Ray of Pittsboro; a brother, Joby Edwards; and a grandson. He was employed by Link Belt as a journeyman for 30 years. He was a member of Abundant Life Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. A service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hendryx Mortuary, New Palestine Chapel. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today at the mortuary.
