EDINBURG — Flossie Mae Downs, 57, Edinburg route 1, died Thursday at Indiana University Hos­pital in Indianapolis after a long illness.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Monday by the Rev. Grover Myers at Apostolic Taber­nacle in Edinburg.

Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery. Persons may call after 2 p.m. Sunday at Eskew Funeral Home in Edinburg.

Mrs. Downs was born Dec. 25, 1919, in Bartholomew County to the late George and Rose Pruitt Cox.

Survivors include three children, Jerry Downs, Rose Gosnell and Marie McFadden, all of Edinburg; a sister, Mabel Burton of Edinburg, and six grandchildren.
