Bernice Dewey 
  Bernice Dewey, 62, died Thursday,
July 6, 2000, at Indiana University
Medical Center in Indianapolis. She
was a resident of Edinburgh.
  She was born Sept. 4, 1937, in
Casey County, Ky. Her parents were
William and Gladys (Luttrell)
Lawhorn. She married James V. Dewey
on Feb. 28, 1959. He survives.
Other survivors include a son,
David Dewey of Edinburgh; four
daughters, Debbie Riggs, Sherry
Rubush and Lisa Childress, all of
Edinburgh, and Jamie DeBaun of
Bloomington; a brother, William
Lawhorn of Columbus; two sisters,
Lena Cooper of Columbus and Fern
Enzerra of Edinburgh; 11
grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren. She was
preceded in death by a brother,
Curtis Lawhorn; and two sisters,
Frances Edwards and Laverne
Schultz.
  She was employed as a press
operator for GTR in Edinburgh.
  The Rev. Mark Myers will conduct a
service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at
Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in
Edinburgh. Friends may call from 4
to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral
home. Burial will be at Rest Haven
Cemetery in Edinburgh.
