      Raymond F. "Rudy" Denk, 72, died August 5, 1994, 
at his home at 1:35 a.m.  He was born February 25, 1922 
in Indianapolis, Indiana to John W. Denk and Agnes 
Roberta Schmitt.  Neither survive.
      He was married July 6, 1946 to Eleanor Jean 
Taulman of Edinburgh.  Survivors include his wife; 
sons William and Stephen Denk of Edinburgh, James 
Denk of Franklin, and David Denk of Shelbyville; 
brother John R. Denk of Indianapolis; sisters Margaret 
Zeller of Indianapolis and Helen Murello of Greenwood; 
and 5 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by son 
Raymond Thomas Denk and a sister and brother.
      He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.  
He was a World War II Army veteran and a member 
of the American Legion Post #233 and Past Commander.  
He was a retired employee of Indiana Bell, he worked 
there 31 years.
      Funeral services was held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at 
Holy Trinity Catholic Church.  Officiating was Rev. Paul 
M. Shikany.  Burial was at Rest Haven Cemetery.  
Memorial contributions can be made to Bartholomew Co. 
Area Hospice and Edinburgh Wright-Hageman Library.

RAYMOND F. DENK, EDINBURGH
      EDINBURGH -- Raymond F. Denk, 72, of South 
Walnut Street died at 1:35 a.m. Friday, Aug. 5, 1994, 
at his home.
      He retired from Indiana Bell after 31 years service. 
 He was an Army veteran of World War II, member and 
past commander of the American Legion Post 233 and 
a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church.
      Funeral will be conducted by the Rev. Paul M. 
Shikany at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Holy Trinity Catholic 
Church in Edinburgh.  Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. 
Monday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home.  Burial will be
 at Rest Haven Cemetery.
      Memorials may be made to Bartholomew County 
Area Hospice or Edinburgh Wright-Hageman Library.
      Born Feb. 25, 1922, in Indianapolis, he was the son of 
John W. and Agnes Roberta Schmitt Denk.  He married 
Eleanor Jean Taulman July 6, 1946.  She survives.
      Also surviving are children, William J. and Stephen F.
 Denk of Edinburgh, James R. Denk of Franklin and David 
R. Denk of Shelbyville; a brother, John R. Denk of Indiana-
polis; sisters, Margaret Zeller of Indianapolis and Helen 
Murello of Greenwood; and five grandchildren. 
      He was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Thomas 
Denk; a brother; and a sister.
