Lydia A. Demaree, age 68 years, living west of Whiteland, died Saturday night of pleuro-pneumonia. Funeral services occurred Monday afternoon at 2 o’clock at the Hopewell church, conducted by Rev. J. H. Bright. Deceased was a daughter of Andrew Carnine, one of the old pioneers of Johnson county.
