Elhannon Glenn "Zeke" Day 
         Elhannon Glenn "Zeke" Day, 57, died Sunday, Aug. 19, 
2001, at Columbus Regional Hospital.  He was a resident of 
Columbus. 
      He was born Sept. 26, 1943, in Whitesburg, Ky.  His 
father was Elhannon Day.  His mother is Pearlie Mae Halcomb 
Day of Whitesburg.  He married Nancy K. Walters on Nov. 19, 
1965.  She survives.  Other survivors include a son, Jeff Day of 
Columbus; four brothers, Walter Day of Norman and Tom, 
Emmitt and Randall Day, all of Whitesburg; four sisters, Cybil 
Abney of Mount Vernon, Ky., Marrietta Sipes of Columbus 
and Hettie Adams and Brenda Caudill, both of Whitesburg; and 
two grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by a brother, Blaine 
Day. 
      He was employed by Cummins Inc. Sytech Division for 39 years. 
      He was a member of Bayless Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite, 
York Rite and Bartholomew County Shrine Club.  He was president 
of Brown County Shrine Club. 
      The Rev. Matt Malott will conduct a service at 1 p.m. Thursday 
at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street in 
Columbus.  Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. today and from 
11:30 a.m. until service time Thursday at the funeral home, 
where a Masonic memorial service will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. 
today.  Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery. 
      Memorials may be made to Shriners Hospital for Children 
Burn Center.
