Olive M. Davis

Olive M. Davis, 90, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, at the Franklin United Methodist Community. She was a resident of Franklin for the past six years and a former longtime resident of Amity.

She was born Nov. 2, 1912, in Rays Crossing. Her parents were Charles W. and Mary E. (Jackson) Davis. Survivors include six nieces, Barbara Young of Mooresville, Jane Burden of Greenwood, Linda Norton of Edinburgh, Jody Long of Nineveh and Ruth Walters and Sue White, both of Franklin; a nephew, Tom Davis of Edinburgh; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews. She was preceded in death by five brothers, Thomas, Oscar, Robert, Croffard and William Davis; and two sisters, Gladys Pruitt and Opal Ferguson.

She attended Edinburgh High School.

She was employed by Allison and later retired after 32 years from Eli Lilly and Co. in Indianapolis.

She was a member of Amity Baptist Church.

The Rev. Ron Ellis will conduct a service at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.

Olive M. Davis, 90, a resident of Amity most of her life, died Thursday, Jan. 10, 2002, at Franklin United Methodist Community.

She attended Edinburgh High School and retired from Eli Lilly in Indianapolis where she worked for 32 years.

The funeral will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery.

Miss Davis is survived by several nieces and nephews including Linda Norton and Tom Davis, both of Edinburgh, and Jody Long of Nineveh.
