Irene Giles Davis
      Irene Giles Davis, 77, died Wednesday, June 19, 2002, at her residence in
Edinburgh.
      She was born April 15, 1925, in Adair County, Ky.  Her parents were Deroy
and Betty Lou (Streeval) Giles.  Survivors include three brothers, Nick,
Paul and T.A. Giles, all of Edinburgh; a sister, Mae Murray of Edinburgh;
and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by two
brothers, R.J. and Lloyd "Chinky" Giles; and a sister, Mary Watson.
      She was employed by David R. Webb Co. in Edinburgh as a dryer operator for
19 years, retiring in 1992.  She previously owned and operated Irene’s
Restaurant in Edinburgh.
      She was a member of Taylorsville United Methodist Church.
      The Rev. Lonny Goen will conduct a service at 10 a.m. Saturday at
Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh.  Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m.
today at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in
Edinburgh.
      Memorial contributions may be made to Taylorsville United Methodist
Church, P.O. Box 92, Taylorsville, IN 47280.

      Irene Giles Davis, 77, Edinburgh, died June 19.  She was a dryer operator
19 years for the David R. Webb Co., Edinburgh, retiring in 1992.
Previously, she owned and operated Irene’s Restaurant, Edinburgh.  She was
a member of Taylorsville (Ind.) United Methodist Church, to which memorial
contributions may be made.  Services: 10 a.m. June 22 in Eskew-Eaton
Funeral Home, Edinburgh, with calling from 4 to 8 p.m. June 21.  Burial:
Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh.  Survivors: brothers Nick, Paul, T.A.
