Mary E. Crowder, 66, died Monday, Nov. 11, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Hospital in Carmel. She was a resident of Greenwood.
She was born July 17, 1936, in Tauton, Mass. Her parents were Henry and Augusta (O'Neil) Murphy. Survivors include a son, Dan Crowder of Greenwood; a daughter, Kolleen Crowder-Sutton of Indianapolis; a brother, Henry Murphy of Fredrick, Va.; two sisters, Gert Dulak of LaPuenta, Calif., and Dot Maurer of Moreno Valley, Calif.; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Murphy; and a sister, Patsy Monk.
She provided home child care for several years.
She was a member of St. Barnabas Catholic Church and Greenwood Newcomers Club and was a Girl Scout leader in Kokomo for five years.
The Rev. John McCaslin will conduct a Mass at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Barnabas Catholic Church. There will be no calling. Entombment will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township. Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home, State Road 135 Chapel, is handling arrangements.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
