George R. Creekmore
      George R. Creekmore, 76, died Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003, at Johnson Memorial
Hospital in Franklin.  He was a resident of Edinburgh.
      He was born Feb. 21, 1927, in Cincinnati.  His parents were Oscar E.
Creekmore and Cora Ann (Streeval) Creekmore Stillwell.  He married Carole
(Phillips) Creekmore on Aug. 12, 1947.  She preceded him in death May 29,
1980.  Survivors include two sons, Fred T. Creekmore of Nineveh and
Timothy G. Creekmore of Edinburgh; two grandchildren; and a
great-granddaughter.  He was preceded in death by a daughter, Sara Ann
Creekmore.
      He retired from the Indiana National Guard.
      He was a member of Taylorsville Baptist Church, Edinburgh Lions Club and
Edinburgh American Legion.
      He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
      The Rev. Troy Collett will conduct a service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at
Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, 302 E. Main Cross St. in Edinburgh.  Friends may
call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Rest
Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.
