EDINBURG, March 2. — Wayne Coy, 18-year-old son and second child of Wilbur and Flossie Coy, passed away at his home, on State Road 31, just at the edge of Edinburg, Thursday afternoon at 1:30.

Wayne had not been feeling well for the past month, but was able to be up most of the time and his condition was not considered serious until Thursday morning about 10:30, when he suddenly became unconscious and death came just four hours later.

He was born Dec. 21, 1910, in Brown County and lived in the community in which he was born until about 18 months ago, when he came to Edinburg with his parents, who own and operate a filling station on State Road 31.

The past year he has been employed at the Swinn’s sawmill, southeast of Edinburg. He was a member of New Bethel Church in Brown County and had been a faithful attendant to the M.E. Sunday school since the family moved to Edinburg.

He leaves to mourn for him the father and mother; five brothers, Virgil, Orvil, Kenneth, Paul and Ervin; three sisters, Ardith, of Indianapolis; Ruth and Pauline at home and two grandparents, W. I. and Eliza Coy; besides a host of friends.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Methodist Church Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock. Burial will be made in Rest Haven Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Coy will bury their second born child, the first death in the family, on their twentieth wedding anniversary.
