Oliver W. Coy rites Wednesday
      Oliver W. Coy, 67, Franklin 
route two, died Sunday in Johnson 
County Hospital after a year-long 
illness.
      Mr. Coy was born October 30, 
1908, in Bartholomew County and was 
the son of John and Lydia (Walters) 
Coy.  He lived most of his life in 
the Franklin-Greenwood area.
      Mr. Coy was a retired farmer 
and truck driver.  He hauled live-
stock to Indianapolis from the 
various communities he lived in.  
He was also a member of the Acton 
Baptist Church.
      Survivors include his widow, 
Elizabeth; son, William E. Coy, 
Whiteland; stepson, Gene E. McRae, 
Indianapolis; brothers, Elba Coy, 
Houston, Texas, and Hugh Coy, Shelby-
ville; and eight grandchildren.  A 
daughter, Dorothy Joann Belton, pre-
ceded him in death.
      Services will be held Wednesday 
at 1:30 p.m. in the J.C. Wilson Green-
wood Chapel with entombment in Washington 
Park East Cemetery, Indianapolis.  Rev. 
Al Brown will conduct the services.  
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today.
