Mrs. Joseph Covert of north Vernor, was called here Tuesday by the death of Mrs. Rilla Covert.
Mrs. Joseph Covert died Monday morning after a brief illness from pneumonia. Deceased was a daughter of Wm. Demott, and was born in Mercer county Kentucky. She had been a member of Hopewell church since 1847 and a constant attendant upon the services. The funeral occurred Wednesday from the residence conducted by Rev. Davies and assisted by Rev. L. P. Marshall.
