The same source records that Henry J. Conrad next married Hattie May Monson on 9 Mar 1893 in Harrison County, Kentucky (FHL microfilm 1690275, reference page 103).
The 1900 US Federal Census for Covington Ward 2, Kenton, Kentucky records thirty-three-year-old, Kentucky-born Henry J Conrad (born Nov 1866) and his twenty-six-year-old, Kentucky-born second wife Hattie (Monson) Conrad (born Feb 1874). They have been married seven years (1893) and Hattie has born one child who is living, However, there are two children in this household, twelve-year-old, Kentucky-born Morton (born Dec 1887) and six-year-old, Indiana-born Ada (born Apr 1894). Morton cannot be Hattie’s child.
The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Bureau of Vital Statistics, Certificate of Death State File No. 24839 records that Morton L. Conrad, born 4 Dec 1887, died 27 Oct 1942 in Booth Hospital, Covington, Kenton, Kentucky. His parents are recorded as Henry Conrad and Julia Rankin, both born in Kentucky.
