Myrtle Cobb, 79, dies in hospital
      Myrtle Cobb, 79, Nineveh, died today at Methodist 
Hospital, Indianapolis.
      Born in Nineveh on Nov. 24, 1898, she was the 
daughter of John and Sara (Goetz) Coffman.  She was 
married to Walter A. Cobb, who died in 1945.
      A member of Nineveh Christian Church, she had 
been employed by Arvin Industries, Franklin, and the 
former Varynit Mills, Franklin.
      Funeral services will be conducted 2 p.m. Wednesday 
at Vandivier-Parsley Funeral Home, Franklin, by Rev. 
Eldon Earnest.  Burial will follow in Nineveh Cemetery.  
Friends may call after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
      Survivors include daughters, Elva Graham, Nineveh,
and Betty Thompson, Logansport; sons, Walter E. Cobb, 
Indianapolis, and Ben E. Cobb, Decatur, Ill.; 18 grand-
children; 26 great-grandchildren, and a sister, Pearl Short, 
Franklin.
      She was preceded in death by one son, one grandson, 
one great-granddaughter, three brothers and five sisters.
