Maurice D.Clark

Maurice D. Clark, 89, died Thursday, Oct. 3,
2002, at Homeview Center of Franklin. He was
a resident of Edinburgh.

He was born Nov. 18, 1912, in Edinburgh. His
parents were William D. and Mary K. (Dyke)
Clark. He married Margaret (Taylor) Clark on
June 6, 1937. She survives. Other survivors
include a daughter, Sandra K. Miller of
Whiteland; a brother, Donald A. Clark of
Edinburgh; a sister, Lucille Gilbert of
Edinburgh; two grandchildren; and four
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death
by four brothers, Kenneth, Walter, Harlen and
Merle J. Clark; and three sisters, Thelma
Burton, Daisy Odem and Martha Davis.

He was a member of Edinburgh First Christian
Church and Edinburgh Masonic Lodge F&AM 100.

He retired in 1975 after 43 years as a
foreman at Arvin Industries in Franklin.

The Rev. Steve DeFields-Gambrel will conduct
a service at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Edinburgh
First Christian Church. Friends may call from
1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral
Home and from 12:30 p.m. to time of service
Monday at the church. A Masonic service will
be conducted at 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral
home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery
in Edinburgh.

He worked 43 years for Arvin Industries,
Franklin, retiring in 1975 as a foreman. He
was a member of Edinburgh Masonic Lodge.

Services: 5 p.m. Oct. 6 in Eskew-Eaton
Funeral Home, Edinburgh, and 1:30 p.m. Oct. 7
in Edinburgh First Christian Church, of which
he was a member. Calling: 1 to 5 p.m. Oct. 6
in the funeral home and from 12:30 p.m. Oct.
7 in the church. Burial: Rest Haven Cemetery,
Edinburgh.

EDINBURGH - Maurice D. Clark, 89, of
Edinburgh died at 6:40 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3,
2002, at Homeview Center in Franklin.

Mr. Clark retired in 1975 as a foreman at
Arvin Industries in Franklin where he worked
for 43 years. He was a member of Edinburgh
First Christian Church and Masonic Lodge.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at
Edinburgh First Christian Church with the
Rev. Steve DeFields-Gambrel officiating.
Calling will be from 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday at
Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home and from 12:30 p.m.
until service time Monday at the church. A
Masonic memorial service will be conducted at
5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial

Mr. Clark was born in Edinburgh Nov. 18,
1912, the son of William D. and Mary K. Dyke
Clark. He married Margaret Taylor June 6,
1937.

He is survived by his wife; a daughter,
Sandra K. Miller of Whiteland; a brother and
a sister, Donald A. Clark and Lucille
Gilbert, both of Edinburgh; two
grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents;
brothers, Kenneth, Walter, Harlen and Merle
J. Clark; and sisters, Thelma Burton, Daisy
Odem and Martha Davis.
