Otto C. Chandler, 72, Edinburgh, died Wednesday at Franklin Healthcare Center after a lengthy illness.
He was born Oct. 2, 1912, in Columbus, to David M. and Margaret A. (Richardson) Chandler.
He was a former employee of the David R. Webb Co., Edinburgh, and Camp Atterbury.
He was a member of Edinburgh American Legion, which will conduct military services at the funeral home and at the cemetery. He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran.
A funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home, Edinburgh, with the Rev. George Eagler officiating. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery, Edinburgh.
He is survived by two sons, Joseph Chandler of Edinburgh and Carl Chandler of Columbus; three stepsons, Paul Stiltner of Edinburgh, James Fields of Greensburg, and Larry Fields of Columbus; four stepdaughters, Elizabeth Tungett of Taylorsville, Mary Lou Fields of Lexington, Ky.; Carolyn Fields of Reddington, and Dana Brown of Edmonton, Ky.; a brother, Merriell Chandler of Edinburgh; three sisters, Doris Rice and Dorothy Lain, both of Edinburgh, and Catherine Spahr of Seymour, and 20 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, his second wife, Tressa Chandler and third wife, Mandy Chandler.
He was married to Lillian Barnett. She survives.
