Harold W. Carlile
Harold W. Carlile, a resident of Trafalgar, died Sunday, October 10 at Universal Healthcare Center in Franklin. He was 74.
Mr. Carlile was born April 19, 1925, in Crawfordsville to Charles Carlile and Helen Lauferty Carlile.
He was married to Bernice Shipley, who survives him, and served in the U.S. Coast Guard.
A retired barber, Mr. Carlile owned and operated barber shops in Peoga and Trafalgar. Mr. Carlile was also a member of the VFW.
Other survivors include four children, Michael Carlile of Nashville, Stephen Carlile of Trafalgar, Roger Carlile of South Bend, Melanie Young of Albany, Kentucky; two brothers, Don Carlile and John Carlile; and two sisters, Ruth Miller and Dorothy Engel, all from Illinois.
Calling hours were Tuesday, October 12 at Flinn & Maguire Funeral Home in Franklin.
A graveside service and burial was conducted at Green Lawn Cemetery in Nashville.
