Death of J. H. Canary
John H. Canary, a well-known citizen of Johnson County, died last Friday afternoon at his home southwest of town, age 73 years, 8 months and 1 day. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. P. O. Duncan. Burial at First Mt. Pleasant.
Deceased was held in the highest esteem by all who knew him and his acquaintance was large. His last illness, which terminated fatally, took the form of dropsy of the heart. He was a native of Kentucky but had lived in Johnson County ever since a small child.
