Evelyn N. Campbell, 82, died Sunday, April 22, 2001, at Columbus Regional Hospital. She was a resident of Edinburgh.

She was born Oct. 18, 1918, in Columbus. Her parents were George and Mary (Ruee) Hill. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Bramhall and Janice Barker, both of Edinburgh; a sister, Hazel Clark of Florida; two half brothers, Robert Bailey of Columbus and Frankie Bryant of Evansville; two half sisters, Betty Walker of Indianapolis and Joan Decker of Shelbyville; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, William Hill; three sisters, Gertrude Patterson, Louise Enochs and Anna McDonald; and a half sister, Cora Pollard.

She was employed for 32 years by Amos Thompson Corp. in Edinburgh as an inspector, retiring in 1977.

A service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

EDINBURGH — Evelyn N. Campbell, 82, of Edinburgh died at 11:41 a.m. Sunday, April 22, 2001, at Columbus Regional Hospital.

She retired in 1977 as an inspector for Amos Thompson Corp. where she had worked for 32 years.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.

Mrs. Campbell was born in Columbus Oct. 18, 1918, the daughter of George and Mary Ruee Hill.

She is survived by daughters, Patricia Bramhall and Janice Barker, both of Edinburgh; a sister, Hazel Clark of Florida; a half brother, Robert Bailey of Columbus; half sisters, Betty Walker of Indianapolis and Joan Decker of Shelbyville; six grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
