Masonic Services Held
For Emerson Calvert

Masonic memorial ser­vices were held Monday at 7:30 p.m. for Emerson Tampa Calvert at the Es­kew Funeral Home.

Mr. Calvert was a 50-year member of the Edinburgh F&AM 100 Lodge.

Memorial services were conducted by Master Joe Brown and assisted by Arthur R. Mitchell as Chaplain, and other area Masons in attendance.

Interment was on Tues­day, January 26, at the Rest Haven Cemetery.

EMERSON CALVERT

Emerson Tampa Calvert, 80, a resident of Glas­gow, Ky., the past sever­al years, died there Saturday at the T. J. Samson Community Hos­pital.

A former Edinburgh resi­dent, he owned a dairy here several years.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Hugh Owen at 2 p.m. Tues­day at Eskew Funeral Home.

Burial was at Rest Haven Cemetery.

Calvert was born Oct. 21, 1901, in Edinburgh, son of David and Myrtle Wilhite Calvert. He mar­ried Edna Reimer. She died in 1966. He then married Madelyn Morrison, and she survives.

Calvert was employed for a number of years as a land procurer for the Government Corps of Engi­neers. He was a member of the Edinburgh Masonic Lodge and Order of East­ern Star.

Surviving with the wife are a stepson, Tommy C. Morrison of Warwick, Ga.; one sister, Lucille Har­ding of Germantown, Md. and one niece and one ne­phew, Jo Ann Wilbur and Curtis Calvert, both of Edinburgh.
