Corlette Calvert dies Monday
  Corlette Calvert, 75, Olive
Branch Road, Greenwood, died
Monday at Johnson County
Memorial Hospital.
  He was a former White
River Township Assessor
  Born Sept. 10, 1904 in
Hensley Township, he was the
son of Quincy A. and Ozella
(McClain) Calvert. He mar-
ried Buelah Duke on June 6,
1928 and she survives.
  A 1922 graduate of Center
Grove High School and Indiana
Central Business College, he
was also a member of the Bluff
Creek Christian Church and
the Christian Church of Lees-
burg, Fla.
  He was also a member of the
Johnson County Farm Bureau
and a 50-year member of the
Bargersville Masonic Lodge
No. 679.
  A funeral service will be held
Thursday,  10 a.m. at Bluff
Creek Christian Church and
Rev. Albert Lorber will of-
ficiate. Burial will be in Bluff
Creek Cemetery. The body will
be at the church one hour prior
to the funeral.
Friends may call after 2
p.m. Wednesday at Vandivier-
Tudor Funeral Home in
Franklin.

  Surviving besides the wife
are  two sons, Cameron
Calvert, Laurel, Md.; DeWane
Calvert, Greenwood; one
brother,   Riley  Calvert,
Daleville;  four sisters, Ima
Day, Trafalgar; May McBride,
Sellersburg; Bertha Mitchell,
Trafalgar, Mildred Walker,
Greenwood; 10 grandchildren
and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by
one son, Richard Calvert, on
Feb. 24, 1974 and one sister,
Ruby Smith.
