EDINBURGH — Wilmer L. Burton, 66, Edinburgh route 1, died Tuesday morning at Wishard Memor­ial Hospital at Indianapolis. He had retired from Amos Thompson, Plastics Division at Edinburgh in 1970.

Funeral service will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Eskew Funeral Home at Edinburgh by the Rev. Crawford Coon. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.

Persons may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Thurs­day.

Burton was born Feb. 22, 1911, in Adair County, Ky., to David and Martha Burton Burton. He married the former Pearl Burton Sept. 12, 1936, and she survives.

He was a member of the Apostolic United Pentecostal Church of Colum­bus.

Other survivors include four daugh­ters, Beulah Littlejohn and Esther Stanfill, both of Edinburgh, Sheila Hendrix of Columbus and Vickie Bur­ton, at home; three sons, Dennis, Phil­lip and Jeffrey Burton, all of Edin­burgh; four sisters, Ruby Burton, Anna Lee Caldwell and Irene Wilson, all of Columbus, and Katherine Roberts of Nashville; a brother, Joe Burton of Edinburgh, and six grand-children.

He was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Funeral services were conducted Friday at 1:30 p.m . at Eskew Funeral Home by the Rev. Crawford Coon for Wilmer L. Bur­ton, 66, Edinburg route 1, who died Tuesday morn­ing at Wishard Memorial Hospital in Indianapolis where he had undergone surgery.

He had retired from Amos Molded Plastics in 1970.

Burial was at Rest Haven Cemetery with Larry Bur­ton, Edgar Burton, Dwight Burton, Bill Burton, Charles Burton, and Rusty Burton serving as pall­bearers.
