Rosemary Burns

Former Brown County resident Rosemary A. Burns died Tuesday, September 8, 1998, at the Todd-Aikens Health Center in Franklin. A resident of Morgantown, she was 92.

Mrs. Burns was born June 4, 1906, in Photo Indianapolis to Mac and Rose Arbuckle Butler.

She and Harry J. Burns were married July 14, 1928, in Brown County. He died January 7, 1993.

She was grad­uated from the old Morgantown High School.

Mrs. Burns was a homemaker. She also helped her husband on the family farm.

She taught piano and organ lessons from her home for more than 50 years, retiring in 1989.

Mrs. Burns had been a member of the Morgantown First Christian Church since 1941.

She had been a member of the Morgantown Order of the Eastern Star for half a century.

Mrs. Burns also was a member of the Indianapolis White Shrine, Jerusalem Valley.

Survivors include a grandson, Todd Burns of Morgantown, her daughter-in-law, Pat Burns of Morgantown; a granddaughter. Tori Hamilton of Morgantown; two great-granddaughters, Megan Burns and Kylee Hamilton, both of Morgantown; and two great-grand­sons, Korbin Hamilton and Austin Burns, both of Morgantown.

Mrs. Burns was preceded in death by a son and a brother.

The Reverend Burt Brock con­ducted a service Thursday, September 10, at Meredith-Clark Funeral Home in Morgantown.

Burial was in that community’s East Hill Cemetery.
