Mrs. Ross Buck Dies Today
      Mamie Ruth Buck, R.N., daughter of Harry E. Furnas and Louisa Runkle
Furnas, pioneers of Johnson County, Indiana, died Wednesday, today at
11:30 A.M. at Johnson County Memorial Hospital, Franklin, Indiana.  She
was 71.
      Mrs. Buck graduated from Indiana State Soldiers Home School of Nursing in
1913.  She practiced her profession for 25 years, the greater part of
which was in Indiana.  She was a former school nurse in Morgan County.
      She was a member of Battle Ground Chapter Order of the Eastern Star; the
Edinburg Methodist Church, and various social organizations in this
community.  Also the Edinburg Business Womens Club, the local Women’s
Republican Club, the Home Ec Club and the WSCS of the Methodist Church.
      Surviving are her husband, Ross J. Buck; a brother, Mr. W. C. Furnas of
Batavia, Illinois; two step-daughters, Katheryn E. Prucher of Los Angeles,
Cal., and Mrs. Marjorie E. Rowland of Flossmoor, Ill., and a step-son,
Ross W. Buck of Avondale Estates, Ga., and other relatives.
      Services will be held in the Mutz Funeral Home, Edinburg, Indiana,
Saturday at 2:00 P.M. with interment in Rest Haven Cemetery.
      Friends may call at the Funeral Home Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 P.M.,
Friday afternoon and evening and Saturday morning.
