Death of Mrs. Brown.
Mrs. Mary Brown, mother of R. A. Brown, died Monday evening at her home in this city after a long illness. Deceased was in her 62d year. She was a daughter of Andrew Carnine, a native of Kentucky who early settled in this county. The funeral took place at Hopewell, Wednesday morning, at 10 o’clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. J. Bright, assisted by Rev. L. P. Marshall.
