Margaret Henderson Brockman

Margaret Brockman, 84, a former resident of Amity and widow of Walter Brockman, a former Edinburgh resident, died February 5th at the Northwest Manor Health Care Center in Indianapolis after a brief illness.

A funeral mass was held on February 9th at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Indianapolis. Burial was at Rest Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh.

Born May 25, 1900, she was the daughter of Widdess and Alma Henderson of Amity. In 1922 she married Walter Brockman and they lived in Indianapolis. Her husband passed away in 1983 shortly after the couple had celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

She was a member of St. Anthony’s Church and its Senior Citizens Club and also the Krannert Senior Citizens Club.

Survivors include a son, Robert of Annapolis, Maryland, and a granddaughter, Marina, of Washington, D.C. as well as a sister, Mrs. Stanley Porter of Greenwood, and brothers, William Henderson and Widdess Henderson of Amity and Marion Henderson of Franklin.
