Richard W. Bridges

Leaf Hawk Lane resident Richard W. Bridges died Thursday, May 25, 1995, at the Bloomington Con­valescent Center. He was 67.

Mr. Bridges was born October 3, 1927, in Franklin to Hugh and Mildred Corn Bridges.

He was married to Martha “Mar­ty” Williams for 43 years. She survives.

Mr. Bridges worked as a chemist at Eli Lilly and Company in In­dianapolis, retiring after 32 years.

He was a United States Army veteran, serving from 1946 through 1947.

Mr. Bridges was a member of Phi Delta Theta.

Other survivors include three sons, Bill Bridges of Amherst, Ohio, Matt Bridges of Muncie and Tom Bridges of Nashville; a daughter, Julie A. Bridges of Fayetteville, Georgia; a brother, Hugh Bridges Jr. of Indianapolis; and 12 grandchil­dren.

A service was conducted Friday, May 26, at his home in Nashville.

The body was cremated.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Brown County (Nashville) Fire Department or the Brown County Public Library.

The Dustin-Bond Serenity Chapel on State Road 135 North was in charge of arrangements.
