Florence Branch
G. Florence Andrew Branch, the mother of Nineveh area resident Douglas Branch, died Tuesday, December 22, 1998, at her home in Bargersville. She was 76.
Mrs. Branch was born January 1, 1922, in Bedford, Kentucky to Ralph and Georgeann Rowlett Andrew.
She and Carroll Branch were married August 5, 1939. He survives in Johnson County.
Mrs. Branch graduated from Bedford High School in Kentucky. She worked in sales for William H. Block/Lazarus for 12 years, retiring in 1978.
Mrs. Branch was a member of Prince of Peace United Church of Christ in Bargersville and Southside Mothers of Twins.
Other survivors include four daughters, Carol Ann Wiese and Sharon Martlage, both of Greenwood, Sandra Frazier of Trafalgar and Tama Riley of Indianapolis; another son, Michael Branch of Indianapolis; a brother, Harold Andrew of Terra Haute; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
A service was conducted Thursday, December 24, at Singleton and Herr Mortuary near Greenwood. Burial was in Johnson County’s Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Prince of Peace United Methodist Church in Bargersville.
