Rites To Be Wednesday
At Methodist Church

EDINBURG, Oct. 26—J. Franklin Bowman died at his home at the corner of Main Cross and Pleasant streets, Monday afternoon at 3:30 o’clock. He was 80 years of age.

Funeral services will be held at the Edinburg Methodist church Wed­nesday afternoon at 2 o’clock. The Rev. William Ellis, pastor of the church is to officiate. Burial will be made in Rest Haven ceme­tery.

The body has been removed from the Gosney funeral home to the late residence where friends may call at any time. They are invited to attend the rites.

Mr. Bowman was born in Brown county, June 14, 1868, the son of John and Mary D. Bowman. Most of his life had been spent in Ed­inburg.

He married Mary D. Pressly on February 21, 1895. He had been a farmer and merchant.

Mr. Bowman was a member of the Lutheran church, but for 45 years attended the Edinburg Metho­dist church and devoted much of his time to its work. He was al­so a member of the Edinburg Ma­sonic lodge. Several nieces and nephews sur­vive with the widow.
