Miss Fannie Bowen, age twenty-nine years, daughter of James Bowen, after a long illness of Bright’s disease, died Saturday afternoon at three o’clock. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. Heaven­ridge, pastor of the Methodist church, of which deceased was a member.

Bowen died from chronic nephritis of five years duration at 3 p.m. on 18 Nov 1899 in Franklin, Johnson County, Indiana. Contributing factor was meningitis of five days duration. She was female, white and single, born in Johnson County. Her father’s name was James W. Bowen and her mother’s maiden name Margaret Burnett. Both were born in Indiana. She was buried in Greenlawn on 20 Nov 1899, undertaker B. G. Barnhizer.
