SUDDEN DEATH.

Mrs. Billingsly, wife of Henry Billingsly, died suddenly Wednesday night. She had retired in her usual health and on Wednesday had been away from home visiting friends. About 11 o’clock, during a rain accompanied by lightning Mrs. Billingsly arose to close a window, being at the time somewhat nervous on account of the vivid flashes of lightning and the thunder. She complained of difficulty in breathing and asked to be propped up in bed. This was done but afforded no relief. She expired in a few minutes afterwards. Mrs. Billingsly had been subject to heart trouble for some time and her death was due to this, doubtless hastened, however, from the excitement caused by the storm.

Deceased was about sixty years of age. Funeral services will be held Sunday at Greenwood.

ROCKLANE.

The funeral services of Mrs. Henry Billingsly were held at the Christian church Saturday afternoon, conducted by Elder S. A. Conner, of Irvington. Sister Billingsly had been an active member of the church for a number of years and she will be greatly missed, not only in the church services but in her cheerful support of all church work. Truly it can be said of her as of Mary of old, “She has done what she could.”
