LOCAL and PERSONAL.

==============================

Dave Bergen, one of the members of the planing mill firm, Jones & Bergen, while moving material on the platform facing Jefferson street, to be loaded into a wagon, slipped and fell from the platform to the cement side walk below. The distance he fell is about twelve feet. His head struck the pavement and rendered him unconscious. He was at once taken to his home and physicians summoned who found his injuries of the most serious nature. But little hope is ehtertained [sic] for his recovery.
