Mrs. Earl Beldon, Mother of Mrs. Griffith,
Mrs. Hash, Dies

Mrs. Earl R. Beldon, of Crothersville, mother of Mrs. Charles W. Grif­fith and Mrs. Lonnie Hash of Pleasant View Village, died early Sunday morning of a heart attack while re­ceiving treatment in the emergency room at Bar­tholomew County Hos­pital.

Mrs. Beldon who has been in failing health the past two years was at the home of Mrs. Hash when she became ill Sa­turday night and was ta­ken to the hospital in the Edinburgh Rescue unit.

She had spent part of the summer convalescing at the home of Mrs. Griffith after her first attack in June and this fall was staying with Mrs. Hash.

Funeral services were today at 1:30 p.m. at the Tampico Baptist Church and burial was at Russell Chapel Cemetery. Calling hours had been held at the Koveners Funeral Home in Cro­thersville.

Mrs. Beldon, the former Cora May Waskom, was born June 16, 1900,

in Jackson County, In­diana, the daughter of William Barlow and May Cox Waskom. She was mar­ried to Earl Beldon March 2, 1918, at Brownstown. Mr. Beldon preceded in death in January of 1969.

The deceased was act­ive as a member of Tam­pico Baptist Church at Crothersville, was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, active also in T.B. Seals sales and many community and civic affairs.

Survivors include seven daughters: Mrs. Archie Turner, Sr., of Columbus, Mrs. Glenn Cunningham of Sellers­burg, Mrs. Harlan Nier­man of Lakeland, Fla., Mrs. Ray Jones of Evans­ville, Mrs. Griffith and Mrs. Hash of Edinburgh, and Mrs. Leon Hoevener of Indianapolis. Also surviving are 27 grand­children and six great-grandchildren and one sister, Mrs. Pollie Tei­pen of Seymour.

A granddaughter Lana Turner, precede[d] in death in February of 1953.
