Union Township Man Succumbs
Robert E. Anderson Ill for Six Months
Critically ill for six months, Robert E. Anderson, 88, retired farmer and resident of Shelby County the greater part of his life, succumbed at his home in Union Township at 7:05 p.m. Thursday.
His funeral will be held at the Sleeth Funeral Home Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. A.M. Hamilton officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7:00 tonight.
The son of David and Elizabeth (Slack) Anderson, he was born in Johnson County February 2, 1869. On December 12, 1890, he was married to Anna Cooper whose death occurred on February 15, 1925. Four children survive, Mrs. Ervin Fuller, Hendricks Township; Mrs. Virgil Shepple, Union Township; Ervin Anderson, Addison Township; and Oscar Anderson, Randolph County. Also surviving are a sister, Mrs. George Stainbrook of this city, 23 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.
