Mrs. Lucretia Alexander, wife of Wash [William Washington] Alexander, died Saturday at her home in Needham. Funeral services were held Monday at Second Mt. Pleasant church, conducted by Rev. P. O. Duncan. Dudley Peek funeral director.

Aunt Cretia Alexander, an aged mother, passed away at a late hour last Saturday, leaving a husband and three sons to mourn, besides her many friends.

The 1850 US Federal Census for Franklin, Johnson County Indiana records twenty-eight-year-old, Kentucky-born Washington Alexander, his twenty-three-year-old, Kentucky-born wife Lucretia Alexander and their three-month-old, Indiana-born son James J. Alexander.
The 1860 US Federal Census for Clark, Johnson County, Indiana records thirty-seven-year-old, Kentucky-born Wm W. Alexander, his twenty-six-year-old [sic], Kentucky-born wife Lucretia Alexander and their three Indiana-born sons, eleven-year-old James, seven-year-old John and two-year-old Wm. Alexander.
