DEATH OF DESSIE ALEXANDER.

Little Dessie Alexander, after suffering for over a year with cancer of the brain, died Monday afternoon at the home of her mother in this city. Over a year ago the little girl was taken ill with severe pains in the head, and after suffering for some time, it was found necessary to perform an operation for cancer of the brain. This relieved her pain, but it continued to grow until she became totally blind and her left side paralyzed. Little Dessie’s sufferings were borne with the greatest of cheerfulness and patience, which has won the sympathy of the entire community.

Funeral services were held Wednesday morning at 9:30 o’clock at Second Mt. Pleasant church, conducted by Rev. Mullendore.
