==============================

OBITUARY.

Nellie Myrtle, the eldest daughter of W. A. Adams and wife, was born November 30, 1885, and died after a brief illness of about five days at the home of her parents near Urmeyville, Tuesday evening, Sept. 19, 1899, age 13 years, 9 months and 29 days.

She was a bright young girl, gentle and reserved in her disposition; obedient, reverent and helpful toward her parents; a careful, watchful, loving sister to her younger brothers and sisters; the joy of her parents and a favorite among her school mates. She loved her books and loved to go to Sunday school. She leaves a large circle of relatives and friends to mourn their loss. She will be sadly missed, but by none more than the dear ones at home. May the Lord help us to bow in humble submission and truly say, “The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord.” May Heaven be brighter and seem nearer by the adding of this jewel.

Funeral services conducted by Rev. P. O. Duncan at 2d Mt. Pleasant, six of her girlfriends acting as pallbearers, and Mr. Barnhizer as funeral director. All that was earthly of dear Nellie Adams was laid to rest in our silent city of the dead to await the resurrection morn.
